Data Collection and Preparation:
- Collect all sales data and create a master table in Excel.
Create Tables
Master Table:(MASTER DATA)
- Open Excel and enter your sales data into a new worksheet, named as MASTER DATA.
- Ensure that the data includes fields such as product id,product name,category,unit,purchase price, sales price etc.
Input Table:(INPUT DATA)
- Create INPUT DATA Sheet for INPUT DATA Table.
Ensure that the data includes fields such as date,product id,quantity,payment mode,sale type, discount,product name,category,unit,purchase price,sales price, total purchase, total sales,day,month, year etc. - Arrange the data in columns with headers for each field.
use master table data and fatch all detail using VLOOKUP Formulas to fill detail of all column like total sale,purchase. get day, month, year using date formula. - convert sheet data as table. and give name INPUT DATA as InputData.
Pivot Table:
- Select INPUT DATA Sheet.
- Go to the “Insert” tab on the Excel ribbon.
- Click on “PivotTable” and open the dropdown menu, select From_Table/Range.
- Choose where you want the PivotTable to be placed (e.g., a new worksheet or existing worksheet).
Choose New Worksheet and rename as ANALYSIS. - Click “OK” to create the PivotTable.
Design Layout
Design the Pivot Table:
- In the PivotTable Fields pane, drag and drop the fields from the InputData Table into the Rows and Values are as as needed. For example, total sale day wise, year wise, total purchase,total sale profit,top product, top category, sale type(online,offline), wholeseller, retailer sales etc.(For Better understanding watch video and practice step by step).
- You can also apply filters, slicers, and conditional formatting to make your dashboard interactive and visually appealing.
- Experiment with different arrangements and configurations to display the sales data effectively.
Create Dashboard Layout:
- Create deshboard in powerpoint and copy and paste, that design view in excel sheet deshboard sheet, and adjust layout according to area.
- Insert charts, graphs, and other visualizations based on the data from your PivotTable. Use Excel’s built-in chart tools to create bar charts, line graphs, pie charts, etc.
- Link the dashboard components to the PivotTable so that they update dynamically as the underlying data changes.
